Ninnu Kori Review, Rating 3/5 Stars

Ninnu Kori is an enjoyable weekend film with good story about love blended into commercial genre. As is the case with Nani’s previous films, Ninnu Kori also has humour, action, romance, witty dialogues along with a commendable story at it’s centre. Director Shiva Nirvana made sure the audience are treated with right doses of emotion at the right time.

Ninnu Kori Review – First half

Ninnu Kori’s first half is very entertaining with a lot of comedy and a cute love story between Nani and Niveda Thomas.

Uma(Nani) is a bachelor who rents a room and lives on terrace of Pallavi’s(Nivetha Thomas) home. He falls in love with her and eventually she too falls in love with him in their college timespan. Pallavi and Uma breakup as Uma is leaving to Delhi for his career. Pallavi falls in love with Arun(Aadhi Pinisetty) in foreign and Uma too ends up with Pallavi and Arun. The rest of the story follows the journey of these three characters and how each character understood love and life differently.

The film stars Murali Sharma as Pallavi’s father. Most of the comedy comes from Murali Sharma, Pruthvi Raj and Nani himself. Acting performances from Nani, Niveda Thomas and Aadhi Pinisetty are top notch and we relate to their characters very well.

The songs “Adiga Adiga” is most melodious song of the movie dwells well with the first half. The cinematography is good and the BGMs adapt to the scene very well.

Ninnu Kori review – Second half

The second half of the movie is slow and takes it’s time to tell us the story.

After a fun filled first half, the second half seems to be a running slow. Comedy scenes provide a few laughters in between in an otherwise emotional second half. The conversations between Uma, Pallavi and Arun also bring a few laughs and Nani as always is impressive with his comic skills. Aadhi Pinisetty did not have much scope to act in the movie and is a supporting character.

Ninnu Kori Movie Rating

Ninnu Kori is being labelled as a remake of a 1999 Bollywood film, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam starring Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles. The story and premise of the movie are extremely similar. But the fun filled first half and an emotional second half make Ninnu Kori a weekend watch for the whole family.

  • Nani, Nivetha Thomas performace
  • Music and BGM
  • Feel good movie
  • New attempt with no commercial elements
  • Climax and Ending

  • Slow pacing
  • Few plot points feel repeated
