Tamil Nadu NEET Merit list 2017 results: After a long wait, supreme court has passed the order to release the merit list of students qualified in TN NEET. Students can check their merit . list and apply for counselling from Thursday i.e., August 24th, 2017.


Tamil Nadu NEET Merit list 2017: NEET has been releasing merit list and allotment results for various states and now, Tamil Nadu NEET board has released merit list for students who have qualified for counselling. Students can check their results without any hurdles because of the Supreme court order to release Tamil Nadu NEET merit list results 2017. The merit list was published suddenly following the order.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was conducted to students in Tamil Nadu in the same schedule as other states. Also, NEET board has been already conducting seat allotments for students in other states. The case filed in supreme court due to insufficient medical seats was not approved by the State council but the Tamil Nadu education board were ordered to release NEET merit list. NEET board was kept as an exemption and is not meant to interfere in this matter.

Students who are already selected in Merit list can appear for counselling and choose their course. Around 3,534 seats are available for medical students in Private Colleges. Only 103 seats will be allotted to Government colleges. Dentistry students have 1,198 seats to get allotted and Management students have 592 seats. There are also self financing colleges in which eligible students will be allotted after counselling.

How to check TN NEET Merit list 2017?

MBBS, BDS and other medical courses students can check their TN NEET merit list from the official board website of Tamil Nadu NEET council. Follow the below steps to download Merit list and know counselling details.

Step 1: Go to TN health website,

Step 2: Click on ‘Provisional list of seats 2017-18 (Management Quota)’ to check the merit list students for Management quota.

Step 3: Click on ‘Provisional list of seats 2017-18 (Government Quota)’ to check the merit list of students for Govt. quota.

Step 4: Open the PDF file and search for your name from CNTR+F (Find)

Step 5: Take a screenshot/print.

TN NEET Counselling begins from August 24th, 2017

As results and Merit list were already announced lately, the counselling process for Tamil Nadu NEET students is hurried. Students who have their name in the TN NEET Merit list 2017 can apply for counselling.

Counselling begins from August 24th, 2017 i.e., Thursday 11:00 a.m. and ends on September 4th.


Qualified students of TN NEET will get a SMS on their registered mobile number about counselling instructions. They will also receive their allotment status and merit number through SMS.
