Samsung has unveiled the world’s first 15.6-inch OLED display with a 4K resolution for laptops last week.
The reason Samsung 15.6-inch OLED 4K laptop display is better than any other laptops because it has a 4K display using OLED instead of the traditional LCD. Despite the launch of 4K display in previous years by some other brands, Samsung’s 15.6-inch OLED 4K laptop display out-stands any other brand because of the OLED format.
Samsung’s 15.6-inch display has a brightness range of 0.0005 to 600 nits. Its spectrum is of 34 million colors which is double to a 15-inch LCD panels. Samsung claims that its panel can produce blacks that are 200 times darker than those of LCD panels, and whites will be more than twice as bright. These attributes contribute to the HDR capabilities of the panel, and the company claims that the panel passes VESA’s new DisplayHDR TrueBlack standard
Why Choose Samsung 15.6-inch OLED 4K laptop display ?
- Laptops using OLED technology have already been in the market for a while, but none has yet reached the 4K resolution, reaching a max of just 2,560 x 1,440 pixels.
- The OLED panels provide better contrast proportions, colour range, and brightness levels than most LCD panel.
- Samsung claims that it emits significantly less blue light to help protect users who are on their computers for a long time.
- OLEDs are also typically thinner and lighter than their LCD counterparts, and consumes less powers.
The OLED feature has a drawback of screen burn-in and lifespan issues. Regardless of the issue, the Samsung 15.6-inch display definitely, is appealing for those who want more substantial, higher-resolution OLED panels in the newest laptops.
